Teacher Professional Development Workshop
July 13 - 15, 2009

The six public school divisions of the greater Peninsula and all GAITE partners invite you to apply for the GAITE Teacher Professional Development Workshop hosted by Virginia Space Grant Consortium. The Workshop is open to 11th and 12th grade teachers of science, technology education and math (STEM). The workshop will be led by professional educators from a GAITE partner university. Only four teachers from one high school in each school division will be selected to attend. The goal of the Workshop is to build a cohort of STEM teachers at each school and provide them with effective strategies, methods and resources for teaching STEM subjects.

GAITE Orientation Regional Middle School Faculty
August 14, 2008 ? 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Regional Middle School Faculty, Peninsula Higher Education Center, Hampton, Virginia. Attendees will have an opportunity to help design the GAITE Engineering Technology Exploratory Saturdays to introduce 7^th and 8^th grade students to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) content and career opportunities.
